Take your practice upside down in this fun workshop about yoga inversion poses! All levels are welcome. Bring an open mind and a playful spirit. 

This is a 2-hour workshop that explores the foundations of inversions, and gives you tips and tricks to get your feet off the ground. You will practice strengthening and flexibility drills, deepen your understanding of technique, and experience first-hand what a confident inversion feels like. This workshop is intended for all levels, including those who are just beginning their approach to inversions, as well as those who are more seasoned but looking to refine. You'll learn skills for headstands and handstands, including modifications for every level, no matter where you are in your practice there will be something for you to learn. 

Inversions stimulate the immune and endocrine systems, thereby invigorating and nourishing the brain and organs. When done correctly, inversions also release tension in the neck and spine. Expect to build strength and confidence as you turn upside down and learn to balance from the ground up, as well as to gain a deeper understanding of alignment and technique and have fun in the process.

Please note that you do not need to be able to do any inversions to attend this workshop nor will you be made to do anything you are not ready to do.

About this workshop:

  • An all-levels workshop that builds strength and confidence as you turn upside down and learn to balance from the ground up.

  • Deepen the connection with your physical body as you explore preparatory poses and various stages of inversions to find proper alignment.

  • Build the foundation of a strong inversion practice using the TRX Suspension Trainer and other tools. 

  • We will focus mainly on 2 active inversions; headstand and handstand.
