Bio
My passion and appreciation for yoga began when I discovered SWEAT in 2017 and fell in love with the work and the community. I have always felt a drive to seek out a career in helping others. After years of serving bedside in hospitals as a Registered Nurse, I knew I needed to seek out new ways to help individuals in being well. I felt compelled by my personal connection with yoga, and my deep desire to empower others on their path to greater health and happiness, to become a yoga teacher.
The journey to teaching has deepened my love and appreciation for my practice; it has invigorated my learning, and it has shown me new paths to support myself and my community. As a student of yoga, my practice has given me access to healing, growth, and self-love. It gives me the physical movement and challenge that I crave, while nurturing a mind-body connection that translates off my mat. As a teacher of yoga, having the opportunity to share with others what yoga has given me excites me and fills my heart with joy.
My commitment to my students is to hold a safe space for them; a space for opportunity, for curiosity, for living, for learning, for possibility. “Everything you need is already within you.”
